Improve Grades Have a positive Attitude
Better Focus
Self Control
Self Confidence
Bully Proof
Discipline
Respect for others
Enroll your children in lessons that teach techniques in martial arts, at East Coast Fighter, and watch your children’s confidence increase. Lessons in martial art techniques can help children with low self esteem develop self confidence or can help children develop the discipline needed to commit to and complete tasks. Even children fighting emotional conflicts can benefit from martial arts techniques. Because one of the key concepts is focus, children learn to channel their energy and deal with situations as they occur.
Low Self Esteem
Children with low self esteem feel down about themselves and believe that they do not measure up to their peers. Even children who excel in certain areas such as academics may feel that other children their age are better than they are.
Boost Children’s Confidence
A huge confidence booster is the mastery of techniques learned in martial arts, children practicing martial arts are given the opportunity to learn new techniques, and then show off the skills learnt when they have mastered the new techniques. Your children will develop a sense of pride when they acknowledge their mastery of the newly learnt techniques and when they receive praises from you, their martial arts teacher and their martial arts teammates.
Sense of Pride and Better Self Image
As children’s skills improve, their confidence improves as well. Martial arts lessons at East Coast Fighter give children an opportunity to learn to handle frustrations while learning new skills; and as they begin to see more opportunities to take pride in themselves, you will note changes in your children’s view of themselves.
How Martial Arts Teaches Focus
In partnership with parents, East Coast Fighter martial arts lessons can help children learn to focus. Children practicing martial learn to relax their minds and body, center their energy, and channel their attention to the current task. Channeling their minds to the given task, children learn to block out distractions while training their bodies to perform. Children are taught to focus on how each muscle helps achieve a given technique. The focus skills learned can be applied to all areas of children’s daily lives helping them accomplish tasks even under trying scenarios.
